…go down to the lake, cast a hook, and pull in the first fish that bites. Open its mouth and you’ll find a coin. Take it and give it to the tax men. It will be enough for both of us. Verses 26 & 27
Jesus and Peter owed money to the government in the form of taxes. In a sense, they had a financial debt. But they did not have any money. So God provided “miracle money” through the mouth of a fish.
