16 Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered just as God had commanded him. Then the Lord shut him in.
Have you ever experienced God’s protection? Noah experienced God’s salvation–God had him build the ark and saved him from the flood. Noah also experienced God’s protection when he shut him in the ark. We don’t know what was going on in the world outside the ark, but it is very possible that there were people wanting a ride who tried to get in the ark. Noah was a good man and it is possible that if he had been able to open the ark, he might not have been able to resist cries for help. That could have been a disaster! God protected Noah from himself and from wicked people who would have brought harm.
I have experienced God’s protection several times–I didn’t even realize that was what had happened until after the fact. Has God ever asked you to do something that seemed a little odd, or your circumstances changed (which was frustrating at the time), and then you found out He was taking care of you?
