1 Chapter a Day’s take
O Israel, my people! O my Jewish brothers! How I long for you to come to Christ. My heart is heavy within me, and I grieve bitterly day and night because of you. Christ knows and the Holy Spirit knows that it is no mere pretense when I say that I would be willing to be forever damned if that would save you. Verses 1-3
Paul loved people sooo much…he wanted them to come to Christ soooo bad…he grieved and prayed for them sooooo intensely…that he was willing to go to hell for all eternity in exchange for their eternal salvation. Of course God would not allow that exchange because is each person’s responsibility to receive the gift of eternal life for them self.
But to read of Paul’s passion for lost souls is awe inspiring. Who is it that you are praying for and sharing with in hopes that they will receive God’s free gift of eternal life?
