1 Chapter a Day’s take
Start with God…Verse 7.
Don’t start with:
- “But I don’t feel like it.” Start with God.
- “I just don’t love her (or him) anymore.” Start with God.
- “We just can’t afford it.” Start with God.
- “But my parents do not understand me at all.” Start with God.
- “My boss is a jerk.” Start with God.
- “You are not in my shoes so you can’t understand.” Start with God.
- “I will probably never overcome this bad habit.” Start with God.
You get the idea…even though some of the above phrases may be true (or any other “excuse phrase” you care to add), make sure you do not start your day with an excuse. Start with God. And one of the best ways to do that is to commit to a daily Bible reading plan (like this one).
