1 Chapter a Day’s take:
Peter had a real concern. Apparently, there were some church leaders that were prideful (verse 5), had selfish motivations (verse 2), were overly concerned with planning (verse 3), and bossy (verse 3).
His instruction to them was:
- diligently care for your church members
- pleasing God should be your heart motivation
- leave room in your schedule for spontaneity
- be tender in your instruction
- just be a regular person
As a church leader, this is a great reminder for me today.
