1 Chapter a Day’s take:
God gives Joshua a very unconventional battle strategy. This strategy had never been heard of before. It did not make sense. It seemed there was no way for this strategy to work. But Joshua obeyed God anyway.
Think about it: it is not difficult to obey God when he asks you to do something that makes sense. Even people who are not believers could easily do that. It is another matter when he asks you to do something that does not make sense. This requires faith.
If a human asks you to do something that seems stupid…don’t do it! It would probably be stupid to do so. But, if God asks you to do something that seems stupid…do it! No questions, no hesitation. Obeying God is not stupidity…it is faith!
