1 Chapter a Day’s take:

When the soles of the feet of the priests carrying the Chest of God, Master of all the earth, touch the Jordan’s water, the flow of water will be stopped—the water coming from upstream will pile up in a heap. Verses 12-13

God could have stopped the water BEFORE the priests stepped out into the Jordan. But he didn’t. It would take no faith to step into the river AFTER God had stopped the flow of water. But it did take faith for the priests to step out into the rushing water, trusting that God would then stop the flow of the river. They obeyed God, and he stopped the water in its tracks. Though the soles of their shoes hit the water, their feet did not get wet. Everyone crossed the river with not one wet foot.

Don’t wait for the circumstances to be perfect before you obey God. Trust him. Obey him NOW…before the circumstances are perfect. He will take care of you!
