When the priests got to the Jordan and their feet touched the water at the edge (the Jordan overflows its banks throughout the harvest), the flow of water stopped. Verse 15
God could have stopped the water when the Israelites were 10 feet away from the edge. But no! God wanted them to demonstrate faith by stepping out into the water. Once God sees their faith, He immediately stops the water. God always wants to see our faith first. Then He acts.
