1 Chapter a Day’s take
This chapter demonstrates how we as humans tend to think. We think we are the center of the universe. We want everyone and everything to be “all about us.” But that is not how things work. One of my friends, Greg Griffin, recently posted the following on Facebook:
Evangelism…is it a “rescue mission” or a “treasure hunt?” For far too many it is simply a rescue and a “relief” to help people avoid hell, rather than a treasure hunt where we help people understand that they can receive unfathomable joy in finding the “treasure” that is GOD! Friends, it’s ALL about Him…it’s NOT about us! The ultimate call (goal) is to glorify the Father, IN and THROUGH, our salvation. It’s not about what we get as much as it is about what God gets…and that is glory! Many people are happy, fewer know true joy that comes in bringing glory to the Father. Let’s make sure our theology is correct, and therefore our worldview….it’s ALL about Him, not about us.
