10-07-12…Psalm 63 — Energizing Worship

by Bruce on October 7, 2012

1 Chapter a Day’s take

So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you.Verses 2-4

While in the place of worship, King David (the author of this Psalm) was energized. Worship was a place where he could set the cares of the world aside. He could (even if only temporarily) forget his problems. He could focus on God and worship him alone. What a great lesson on this Sunday. I am going to church to worship God today. There is no place I would rather be!
