1 Chapter a Day’s take
In this familiar story of David’s affair with Bathsheba, I was drawn to the integrity of Uriah (Bathsheba’s husband). When David had Uriah brought home from the battle field, Uriah refused to go home to eat good food, enjoy refreshing drink, and to sleep with his wife. He was so committed to the men in his army, he did not want to experience the “good life” while his fellow soldiers were on the battle field. I am inspired by his commitment to do what he believed was right.
