1 Chapter a Day’s take:
It’s better for you that I leave. If I don’t leave, the Friend won’t come. Verse 7
Could anything be better than hanging out with Jesus himself…in the flesh? Apparently so! Jesus tells his disciples that he will send “the Friend” after he leaves. This “Friend” is referred to as the “Spirit of Truth” in verses 12 & 13. Part of his role is to take us by the hand and guide us into all the truth there is.
We commonly refer to this “Friend” as the Holy Spirit. How have you experienced the Holy Spirit in your life?
