07-23-12…Judges 6

1 Chapter a Day’s take:

Gideon said to him, “Me, my master? How and with what could I ever save Israel? Look at me. My clan’s the weakest in Manasseh and I’m the runt of the litter.” Verse 15.

It is interesting to see what people say when God asks them to do something. In the Bible, the first thing out of their mouth is usually something along the lines of  “I can’t do that. You have the wrong person.” Such is the case with Gideon. He could not believe that God chose him to be a mighty warrior that would save Israel. But God did.

God often calls us to do things we do not think we can do. We make excuses and try to find a way out of it. Don’t make that mistake. God wants to use you in a mighty way. Listen for his promptings. Obey him. Believe him. He will go with you and lead you to victory in areas you would have never dreamed possible!
