A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out.Verse 28.
Imagine what it would be like to live in a house with the doors and windows knocked out. The AC unit would not work well in the summer. The winters would get cold. Rain would penetrate the house. Strangers could walk in unimpeded. Your children could “sleep walk” right out the doorway. How much would you pay for a house where the doors and windows are knocked out if the Deed Restrictions prevented you from replacing the doors and windows? I would not pay anything for a house like that!
God says our lives are just like a house with the doors and windows knocked out if we do not have self-control. That is no way to live! “Lord, I am asking for you to help me to develop self-control in increasing measure!”
