1 Chapter a Day’s take:
This is fascinating. Moses is attempting to calm God down. And he succeeds. Prayer (2-way communication with God) works! In verse 14 it says: And God did think twice. He decided not to do the evil he had threatened his people.
God came to this decision because Moses asked him to change his mind. Wow!
Someone once said, “the purpose of prayer is not to change God…but to change you.” Though I generally agree with this idea, the Bible clearly shows examples of God changing his mind because a man or woman asked him to! Let’s Pray!
