1 Chapter a Day’s take:
The first two words out of Moses mouth in this chapter are: Moses objected. Then God gave him the power to do three miracles that made his objection worthless. The miracles were:
- Throw a staff on the ground…it becomes a snake. Pick it up, it returns to being a staff.
- Slip your hand in your shirt, take it out…it has leprosy. Repeat, and the leprosy is gone.
- Take water out of the Nile and pour it on the ground…it becomes blood.
Moses response in verse 10 is classic: Moses raised another objection to God.
LOL! This is so ENCOURAGING! With the exception of Jesus Christ, Moses became the greatest leader in all the Bible. To see his beginning struggles makes it clear. God can make anyone into a leader that changes the world…yes, that includes YOU! Moses was a murderer who mumbled. Be encouraged. If you will cooperate with God and get past objecting to his direction in your life, he will use you to change your world — and maybe to change the entire world. You are awesome!
