This spacious, free life is from God, it’s also protected and safe. Verse 39
God is not a cosmic killjoy! He gave Adam and Eve the run of the Garden of Eden…except one tree. This verse refers to a spacious, free life. God is all about freedom. Any time he says: “don’t,” he is simply saying “don’t hurt yourself.” He is protecting us and keeping us safe.
It is an honor to worship a God who gives tons of freedom…yet in order to protect me, still guides me with “don’t s.”
