1 Chapter a Day’s take
In verse 10 Paul warns the centurion that sailing after the autumn equinox had passed was too dangerous to attempt. But the centurion insisted to the ships captain and the ships owner to proceed with their journey.
In verse 21, after encountering life threatening storms, Paul basically says…”I told you so.” Needless to say, the centurion and others on the ship were willing to listen to Paul now.
I don’t recommend using the phrase “I told you so” in your marriage…LOL! But used in the correct context with non-believers, it proved effective.
Bottom line: if you are careful what you say…and say things that consistently prove to be true…people will eventually listen to you and open themselves to your influence.
