1 Chapter a Day’s take

But Agrippa did answer: “Keep this up much longer and you’ll make a Christian out of me!” Verse 28

What made Paul’s story so compelling to King Agrippa?

  1. He began by saying good things about King Agrippa. He was not “brown-nosing.” He spoke true & positive things about Agrippa that applied to the decision that the King would have to make about Paul.
  2. He explained that he previously believed the same thing his accusers believed (his life BEFORE receiving Christ).
  3. He shared the story of how he was converted (how his decision to become a Christ-follower came about).
  4. He told the King how his conversion changed his life (how his life was different AFTER committing to Christ).

Your story (sometimes called a testimony) is powerful too! If you have never done so, I encourage you to write your story today. Here is the “recipe” for writing your story:

    • What your life was like BEFORE receiving Christ.
    • How your decision to become a Christ-follower came about.
    • How your life has been different AFTER committing to Christ.

After you have it written down, review it so you are prepared to share it when God gives you the opportunity. Then pray that God will open doors for you to share your story!

What is your take?
