1 Chapter a Day’s
In verse 23, they offered him a mild painkiller (wine mixed with myrrh), but he wouldn’t take it. It is amazing to me that Jesus declined the painkiller. It is as if he insisted that he experience the pain fully in order to pay for my sins. The enormity of what Jesus did for me is hard to grasp. I am just filled with awe and gratitude!
