Psalm 5…David Shares His Heart With His Best Friend…God!
The goal of 1 Chapter a Day is not to fill your brain with content. But, rather to look for God to drop a “nugget of truth” into your heart from each reading. This should be something you can apply to your life. The Bible is not simply a book to be learned…it is a book to be lived!
1 Chapter a Day’s take on Psalm 5
Verse 3 says: “Every morning you’ll hear me at it again. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life…” I often have my time with God in the evening…including right now. Yet, I see in the Bible an emphasis on morning. Is there something about morning time that God is teaching us? Why does God mention mornings repeatedly in the Bible when addressing his relationship with us? Did those God writes about in the Bible just happen to be morning people? I don’t know for sure, but here is my prayer:
“God, If you want me to have a consistent time with you in the morning, I will obey. Please show me what you desire.”
