Genesis 40…Joseph Interprets 2 Dreams
The goal of 1 Chapter a Day is not to fill your brain with content. But, rather to look for God to drop a “nugget of truth” into your heart from each reading. This should be something you can apply to your life. The Bible is not simply a book to be learned…it is a book to be lived!
1 Chapter a Day’s take on Genesis 40
In verse 15, Joseph says, “I’ve done nothing to deserve being put in this hole.”
I am inspired by Joseph’s great attitude and hard work in spite of the fact that he had been lied about and mistreated. He could have easily curled up in a fetal position in his prison cell and given in to depression. But he made the best of the cards that were dealt him. This speaks volumes about his character.
Life presents all of us opportunities to demonstrate high character, hard work, and a great attitude. Carpe Diem!
