Let’s Face It:
- only 18% of the people (in my country) who consider themselves followers of Christ read the Bible daily.
- many Bible reading plans require a lot of time.
- most people who start a Bible reading plan use a translation that is “awkward” for a newbie
- you can “fall behind” in many Bible reading plans. This causes people to feel like they can never catch up, so they give up.
- The focus of many Bible reading plans is to learn content…kind of like taking a “History” class. Relevant life change opportunities are not emphasized.
Welcome to 1 Chapter a Day…this plan is Different on Purpose!
- This plan is doable…one chapter a day…about 3 minutes of reading.
- This plan is flexible…it can be a Monday-Friday plan…or an everyday plan…or even more flexible if necessary.
- This plan is user-friendly…if you get the recommended Bible, even page numbers are included.
- This plan is for everybody…even atheists. You need not be a believer to benefit from this plan.
- This plan is different…your goal is not to learn content, but to discover a single “nugget of truth” to live out that day.
- This plan is 21st Century…we live in a busy day. Yet we need Bible truth more than ever. This plan works for busy people.
- This plan includes no devotional thought…your comments and the comments of others become the devotional thought.
- This plan is relational…bless others, meet others, learn from others in the “Comments” section.
