1 Chapter a Day’s take
The verse that was meaningful to me today was:
2 God spoke there to Israel in visions during the night.
God: Jacob, Jacob!
Jacob: I’m here. I’m listening!
There is a difference between listening to God and listening! to God and it’s obvious in this verse that Jacob is intensely listening! We tend to talk to people who listen, not those who ignore us, so it makes sense that God does the same. If we want to hear from God, we have to be ready to listen!
