1 Chapter a Day’s take

23 Sadly the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph at this time; instead, he forgot all about him.

At the end of Chapter 39, Joseph was thrown in prison after being falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife. But Joseph kept his positive attitude and continued to trust God and it wasn’t long until the chief jailer put him in charge of all the prisoners. And then, with God’s help, Joseph correctly interprets the dreams of 2 of Pharoah’s officials and he asks the cupbearer to mention to Pharoah that Joseph has been imprisoned unfairly. There have been times when I either felt like I was being treated unfairly or I didn’t receive something I had earned. I would imagine this is how Joseph felt after he had correctly interpreted the cupbearer’s dream and that man went back to his job, but Joseph was left in prison. But, God doesn’t forget about us. So even if we don’t get something we think we deserved, God is still trustworthy. The time just isn’t right yet.
