When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, sir, please leave us—I’m too much of a sinner for you to have around.” Verse 8
Though Peter made many mistakes as he followed Jesus, his heart of repentance was so valued and made way for bigger things in Peter’s future.
