The woman was surprised that a Jew would ask a “despised Samaritan” for anything—usually they wouldn’t even speak to them! Verse 9
Jesus was kind to a Samaritan woman. That was unheard of in that culture and in that day. Do you surprise some people with kindness? Why or why not?
