1 Chapter a Day’s take
This year I turned 50. I decided that is time for a “Bruce Ammons” overhaul. I have had a thorough physical, have scheduled a colonoscopy, have an appointment with a cardiologist, and am consulting with an orthopedic surgeon about possible surgeries. I have seen a psychiatrist to examine my psyche. I am recommitting to a high energy eating and exercise plan. I am preparing my body and mind to the best of my ability for the next 50 years (should God grant them).
But today, I am reminded that all this is a waste without being fit spiritually. In verse 2 we read: Examine me, God, from head to foot, order your battery of tests. Make sure I’m fit inside and out.
“Lord, I want to be spiritually fit for the next 50 years too. Show me the way. I want to follow you!”
