1 Chapter a Day’s take
He led the way and, as he approached his brother, bowed seven times, honoring his brother. But Esau ran up and embraced him, held him tight and kissed him. And they both wept. (Verse 4)
This scene is amazing. After all the hurt, anger, & bitterness Esau had toward Jacob, their relationship was restored. Both brothers made an effort. Jacob bowed to Esau seven times to honor him. Esau grabbed Jacob and gave him a big bear hug. They were both moved emotionally to the point of tears.
Today, I am prayerfully considering if there are is anyone I need to make amends with. As the Lord reminds me of them, I will reach out and do what I can to restore the relationship.
