1 Chapter a Day’s take
As soon as human beings arrive on the world scene, the devil is right there waiting (in the form of a serpent). He throws out a temptation as bait. Adam and Eve bite…literally! In addition to eating from the “off limits” tree, they immediately sinned again. In verse 12 Adam blames his wife. In verse 13 Eve blames the serpent. Human beings have been blamers ever since.
In yesterdays reading, God told Adam and Eve to be responsible. They have already blown it. But I am grateful for verse 21: God made leather clothing for Adam and his wife and dressed them. God still loved them. He could have dressed them in leaves. That is what Adam and Eve chose for themselves. But he wanted them to stay warm and protected. Though there were consequences for their actions, God still loved them.
“Thank you God for your unconditional love!”
