Judges 15

The goal of 1 Chapter a Day is not to fill your brain with content. It is rather to read a chapter of the Bible each day while looking for God to drop a “nugget of truth” into your heart. This should be something you can apply to your life.

1 Chapter a Day’s take on Judges 15:

  • verses 18 & 19 “Now he was suddenly very thirsty. He called out to God, ‘You have given your servant this great victory. Are you going to abandon me to die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?’ So God split open the rock basin in Lehi; water gushed out and Samson drank. His spirit revived–he was alive again!
  • In reading about Samson, several things are clear. He was chosen by God. He was not perfect (anger, weakness for women, etc.). God did not abandon him in spite of his sinful choices. I will not use this story to justify sin and “abuse” God’s grace, but it is encouraging to see that God takes care of his own even though they are imperfect. I am glad to be in God’s family!
